The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boone lands in his opponent's guard.
Boone is in close to Bill's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Boone told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Boone's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bill on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bill tries to get out of the position.
Boone sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bill's guard.
Boone maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bill could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Boone has cracked it and Bill is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Boone!
