Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Simon MCdonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kimba!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MCdonald doesn't manage to clinch there - Kimba circles away.
Kimba swings and misses with a hook to the body.
MCdonald seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A shot to the body from MCdonald misses
and Kimba counters with a single leg into guard. MCdonald didn't expect that.
Kimba seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kimba throwing strikes from guard but MCdonald blocks nicely.
Kimba lands a couple of digs.
Kimba connects with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
MCdonald controls Kimba momentarily but Kimba frees himself.
Kimba slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kimba lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kimba keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of MCdonald's head.
MCdonald is rocked!
Kimba arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! MCdonald's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Billy Kimba!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Billy Kimba waved his t-shirt featuring Fightpit Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
