Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leo Kline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Tang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Kline has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Kline!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Tang!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tang shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Tang is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Kline working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tang.
Kline wants to sweep but no luck.

Kline is looking for a triangle but Tang pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tang wants to stand but Kline has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tang looking to sit in guard and control but Kline gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tang has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Kline has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tang is proving hard to escape from.

Tang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kline doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kline manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kline decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tang throws a poor cross that misses
and Kline counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kline to the mat! Kline manages to get full guard.
Kline looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tang is one step ahead there.
Kline is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kline is pulling down on Tang's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tang wants to control from the top but Kline keeps moving.

Kline looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kline keeping moving, preventing Tang from controlling successfully.
Tang is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Tang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kline is trying to defend but Tang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tang content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tang wants to pass the guard but Kline is defending well.
Kline is not content to let Tang control the position.
Kline is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tang trying to control the action but Kline is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



The fight moves into the clinch position.

Tang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kline closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tang to the mat! Tang manages to get full guard.
Tang is trying to control the position but Kline postures up.
Kline is looking to stand up but Tang won't let him.

Tang looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tang had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kline defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kline gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kline takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Tang looks to land a left hand but Kline moved out of range nicely.
Tang misses with a combination

and Kline counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kline.
Tang is breathing heavily.

Tang has hold of one of Kline's legs. Kline is fighting the takedown attempt but Tang gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Kline has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kline looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kline isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tang stacks Kline on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tang!

Kline can't do much from the bottom here.
Kline manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kline is working away from the top position though.

Kline is looking for a kimura here.

Tang is defending against the submission attempts here by Kline.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kline stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Kline misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tang shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kline napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kline is trying to control Tang's posture but Tang avoids it.
Tang trying to control the position but Kline is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kline gets back to half guard.
Tang misses with a head shot. Kline uses the momentum to regain guard.

Kline has his foot on Tang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tang works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Leo Kline will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Tang gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kline is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tang defends well.
Kline trying to keep a closed guard but Tang is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kline holds on and takes a little breather.

Tang trying to control the position from guard on top but Kline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tang looking to sit in guard and control but Kline gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kline will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Tang trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kline postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kline connects with the punch.

Tang looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Tang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tang with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tang trying to control the position from guard on top but Kline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kline seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kline is trying to keep Tang in close.
Kline looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tang is one step ahead there.
Tang is looking to pass into half guard but Kline pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kline is in guard.

Kline wants to stand but Tang has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kline won't allow Tang to sweep him here.

Kline gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kline wants to clinch up but Tang keeps it at a distance.

Tang shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kline wants to control but Tang is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kline is pressing down on Tang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tang postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eric Tang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tang has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
