El Hashem kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kassaman. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva wants to pass the guard but El Hashem is defending well.
Silva looks to land a strike but El Hashem avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

El Hashem parries the strikes from Silva easily there. Silva is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable El Hashem to escape.
Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, El Hashem has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by El Hashem.

El Hashem tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
