Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Jose De Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galu Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Sucre kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Iced Earth - Plagues of Babylon. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Sucre lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Li avoids the head kick by De Sucre.
Li misses with a takedown attempt
and De Sucre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Li will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Li shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Sucre as he avoids it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Li wants to control but De Sucre is keeping him busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

De Sucre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
De Sucre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked De Sucre off and has taken his back!

Li shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Sucre's guard.

De Sucre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Li swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Li isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. De Sucre stacks Li on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by De Sucre!
De Sucre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

De Sucre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

De Sucre is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Li knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and De Sucre counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A decent looking cross lands there for De Sucre.

and Li counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Li is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
De Sucre throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Li stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

De Sucre attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Li unleashes a big counter combination but De Sucre bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

The cut man is working on Galu Li's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

De Sucre connects with a body shot.
De Sucre throws a shot from downtown. Li moves away and avoids it.
Li shoots for a takedown but De Sucre saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from De Sucre misses the target.
De Sucre buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Li gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and De Sucre cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

De Sucre cracks Li with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. De Sucre has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Li to stand back up!

Li is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
De Sucre lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Li head around and knocks him out cold! De Sucre hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
