PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arto Blomsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arto Blomsten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erik Kramer!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kramer. Blomsten does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blomsten tries to counter with a takedown but Kramer is quick to defend against it.
Blomsten tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kramer is able to avoid easily.
Blomsten tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It seemed like Kramer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Blomsten fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kramer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Blomsten gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Kramer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blomsten manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blomsten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kramer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blomsten has managed to get both his arms back between Kramer's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Blomsten drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blomsten jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kramer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blomsten defends it easily.

Blomsten has gone for a leg lock! Kramer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blomsten's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blomsten holds on and takes a little breather.
Blomsten seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Blomsten is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Blomsten manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kramer manages to get himself to full guard.

Blomsten stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kramer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blomsten is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kramer defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kramer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Blomsten takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Blomsten uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kramer.

Kramer has had enough of the clinch but Blomsten keeps him there for the moment.

Kramer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blomsten is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kramer to the mat. Kramer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kramer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blomsten sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Blomsten missing with a left hand there. Kramer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kramer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blomsten stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Blomsten lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kramer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kramer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Blomsten fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kramer just manages to avoid it.
Kramer is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Blomsten rather than just go for the knockout.

I think Blomsten has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
