Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wang Chung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wang Chung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Storm!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm scores with a jab to the jaw.


It looks like Wang Chung has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Chung has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Storm throws a series of punches but Chung moves out of range.
Storm throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Chung counters with a nice double leg into side control. Storm won't be happy with that.
Chung has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Chung works his way to his opponent's back.
Storm told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Storm is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Chung trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Storm manages to escape to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chung fails to land with a series of punches.
A little jabbing left from Storm on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Storm drops Chung with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Chung looks back up at him and smiles so Storm waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Chung is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chung throws a jab when Storm was well out of range.
Storm has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chung.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chung. Storm does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chung's corner calls for a 1-2. Chung obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chung fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Storm dips to his left and cracks Chung with an uppercut!
Fred Storm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chung ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Storm throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Chung counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Storm!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Storm is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Chung advances to full mount.
Chung scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Storm?


It looks like Fred Storm has been cut.
Storm is squirming around, avoiding Chung's attempts to control the action.
Chung thowing shots but they're missing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chung wants to control the pace but Storm is squirming around nicely.
Chung with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chung trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Chung has control of Storm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Storm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Storm's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Chung trying to control but Storm is having none of it.
Chung is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Storm tries to buck Chung off but he can't manage it.
Chung controlling from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

BOOM! Chung connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Storm wants to get back to his feet.
Storm is squirming around, avoiding Chung's attempts to control the action.
Storm trying desperately to get to his feet.
Chung controlling the position easily from mount.
Storm is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chung tries to control but Storm wriggling away.
The referee warns Storm that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


The cut above Fred Storm's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Chung jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Storm manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Chung tries for a kimura but Storm is defending well.
Storm wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wang Chung dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Chung shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Storm is wriggling around but Chung manages to pass to half guard.
Storm looks like he's trying to stand up.
Chung trying to control from half guard but Storm is working away.
Storm is looking to get back to is feet but Chung passes into side control.
Storm tries to escape but Chung is in control.
Chung in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chung working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Storm is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chung asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Storm can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chung is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Storm looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chung gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Storm is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chung lets go of the hold and Storm can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wang Chung!
