Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kupar Terkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kupar Terkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Wu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Terkey - the referee stops the clock and Wu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Terkey. Wu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Terkey moves away from the strike by Wu.

Oooooh!!! Terkey has knocked Wu down with a huge combo! Terkey steps away and waves a wobbly Wu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Terkey clinches up against the cage.

Wu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Terkey can't fight it off and eventually Wu manages to take the fight to the floor. Terkey looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wu trying to control but Terkey is working from the bottom.
Wu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Terkey is keeping the position for now.
Wu wants to control from the top but Terkey keeps moving.

Wu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wu slips nicely into half guard.

Wu is looking for a kimura here.
Terkey has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Wu missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Terkey is trying to stand up here but Wu is controlling him well.
Terkey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wu on the ground.
Wu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Terkey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wu passes to full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Wu there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Wu working for a guillotine from mount but Terkey is in no mood to give up.
Wu lands a big elbow.
Wu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wu lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
A nice elbow there by Wu.
Wu avoids the attempt from Terkey to control.
Wu throwing strikes here but Terkey is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Wu controlling the position easily from mount.

Wu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Terkey is surviving well by controlling Wu's body position as best he can.
Wu trying to control but Terkey is having none of it.
Wu lands a big elbow.

Terkey gets back to half guard.
Wu is pressing down on Terkey's thigh, looking to free his foot. Terkey is holding on for now.
Terkey is trying to maintain the position but Wu is very close to passing his half guard.
Terkey is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Wu winds up and cracks Terkey with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Wu wants to free his trapped foot but Terkey is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wu is working for a kimura but Terkey is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Wu dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Terkey.
Wu throws the left hand but Terkey avoids the punch easily.
Wu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Terkey sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wu doesn't manage to clinch there - Terkey circles away.
Kupar Terkey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Terkey throws a series of punches but Wu avoids them all with ease.
Terkey keeps Wu at a distance using the push kick.
Wu throws a push kick but Terkey slaps the foot to one side.
Wu takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danga de danga de dang - Terkey scores with a four punch combination!
Terkey shoots in but no luck this time.
Terkey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Terkey throws a head kick but Wu moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Terkey. No joy for Wu on that attempt.

Wu loads up on a big right hand but Terkey slips the punch.
Terkey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wu.
Terkey tries a head kick but it misses.
Terkey lands a leg kick that knocks Wu off balance momentarily.

Wu shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wu trying to control from Terkey's half guard. Terkey has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Wu pushes down on Terkey's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Terkey moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Terkey keeping moving, preventing Wu from controlling successfully.

Wu trying to control the position from guard on top but Terkey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Terkey keeps working.
Wu throwing shots but Terkey is blocking nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Terkey staying out of range there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Terkey drives through and clinches with Wu against the cage.
Terkey prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kupar Terkey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Wu.
Terkey pushes Wu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Terkey looking to stall.
Wu is trying to pull guard but Terkey turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Terkey lands a knee to the head.

Terkey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Terkey fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wu moves into range and clinches up with Terkey.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kupar Terkey dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Terkey closes the distance and clinches up with Wu, looking for a takedown. Terkey pushes Wu against the cage but Wu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Terkey.
Terkey moves out of range as Wu strikes.
Wu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Terkey tries to clinch up

and Wu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Terkey's guard.
Wu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wu sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Wu wants to pass the guard but Terkey is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wu is looking to advance position but Terkey has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Wu is in all sorts of trouble here.

Terkey tries to stand and escape but Wu is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wu actively working from the bottom here.
Wu wants to control but Terkey passes into side.
Wu is not content to let Terkey control the position.
Wu is trying to improve his position.

Wu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Charles Wu has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wu is still trying to improve position.
Terkey moves into full mount!
Terkey is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wu can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wu is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wu manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Terkey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Wu is refusing to be controlled, as Terkey sits in half guard.
Wu is looking to improve his position.
Wu regains full guard. Nicely done.

Wu has his foot on Terkey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Terkey works his way back into a safe position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Terkey wants to control from the top but Wu keeps moving.
Terkey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kupar Terkey.
I think Terkey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
