Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brawny Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Wafel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawny Swagger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brawny Swagger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marek Wafel! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swagger gets caught flat footed, as Wafel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wafel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Swagger trying to keep a closed guard but Wafel is proving a slippery customer.
Wafel stays in close to Swagger's body and controls the position. Swagger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wafel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wafel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wafel landing some decent shots from guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swagger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wafel controls the pace. Swagger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wafel stays in close to Swagger's body and controls the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Swagger lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Wafel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Swagger throws out the jab. Wafel feints the counter takedown. Swagger waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wafel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wafel shoots in and drives through. Swagger sprawls well. Swagger went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Swagger lands with a right hand. Good shot there by Swagger. Swagger scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Swagger misses with a hook. Wafel ducked under it nicely. Wafel ducks under a wild hook from Swagger. Jab, jab by Swagger - just one landing. A jab from Swagger misses. Swagger is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Wafel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Swagger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wafel.
Wafel drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Swagger defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swagger misses the body punch and Wafel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Swagger! Wafel working the head with strikes. Swagger takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Swagger is letting Wafel control him for a moment. Swagger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Swagger tries to get out of the position. Wafel in side control lands a decent elbow. The referee asks Wafel politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wafel prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wafel lands a decent elbow from side control. Swagger is looking for a sweep. Swagger wants to control but Wafel postures up. Wafel slows the pace down. It looks like Wafel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wafel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marek Wafel will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wafel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Swagger pinned against the cage. Swagger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Swagger stuffs the takedown attempt from Wafel. Wafel gets slowly back to his feet. Swagger scores with a hook to the body. Wafel takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Brawny Swagger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wafel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brawny Swagger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Wafel. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swagger misses with a left hand and Wafel counters with a shoot takedown. Swagger fights it but they end up in guard. Wafel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wafel scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wafel engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Swagger wants to sweep but no luck. Wafel is stalling in the full guard. Wafel cracks Swagger with a solid left hand. Wafel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Wafel is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Swagger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wafel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wafel scoring with punches to the head and body. Swagger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wafel is one step ahead there. Wafel scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Swagger being controlled here, momentarily. Swagger wants to stand but Wafel is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wafel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Swagger to the mat! Swagger manages to get full guard. Wafel working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wafel controlling from the top position. Wafel preventing the sweep. Wafel content to stall in guard here. Wafel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wafel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

and Wafel counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Swagger has hold of Wafel's hands but Wafel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Wafel controlling the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Swagger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wafel is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marek Wafel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Swagger stuffs the takedown. Wafel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Swagger defends well and Wafel ends up having to push Swagger into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wafel takes a body punch but keeps moving. Wafel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wafel controls the position from side control. Wafel connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Swagger some visible discomfort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Swagger taking a bit of punishment here - Wafel scoring with strikes. Wafel is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Swagger will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. More stalling from Wafel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wafel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Swagger down.
Swagger is looking to regain half guard here but Wafel keeps moving and retains side control. Wafel taking a breather here. Wafel landing a few strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swagger holds on to Wafel's head and controls the position momentarily. Wafel cracks Swagger with an elbow. That is naaassty. Wafel content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Swagger is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wafel creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Swagger is looking for a sweep. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Marek Wafel has got the better of the ground game so far. Wafel looks up at the clock and then as Swagger takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wafel smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wafel is putting a hurting on Swagger here, landing some big shots from side control. Swagger is letting Wafel control him for a moment.

Wafel scores with punches from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wafel happy to just control the position for now. Swagger is looking for a sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Marek Wafel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wafel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
