Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Chipman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrad Elmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conrad Elmo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chipman has a takedown stuffed.

Elmo moves into the clinch successfully.

Elmo has taken the fight to the clinch.

Chipman jumps guard but Elmo stands there with Chipman around his waist. Chipman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chipman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Elmo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Elmo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Elmo stands up and waves to Chipman to follow him.

Chipman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Elmo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elmo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chipman but Chipman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Elmo counters by clinching up.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Chipman tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Elmo's elbow.

Chipman is looking to break free of the clinch but Elmo has double underhooks.
Chipman is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Elmo breaks from the clinch.
Elmo shoots in but Chipman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Elmo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Chipman tries to score a body lock takedown but Elmo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Elmo gets control of Chipman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Elmo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Chipman wants to improve his position but Elmo is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elmo wants to stand but Chipman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Chipman misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Elmo stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chipman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Elmo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Elmo.
Chipman has had enough of the clinch but Elmo keeps him there for the moment.
A right hook to the body lands for Elmo.
Elmo gets underhooks to prevent Chipman's takedown attempt.

Elmo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Elmo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Elmo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Chipman backwards.

Elmo stands up and waves to Chipman to follow him.

Elmo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Elmo lands in his opponent's guard.
Chipman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Elmo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Chipman shoots and misses

and Elmo counters with a shoot takedown. Chipman fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Chipman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chipman is trying to control the position but Elmo postures up.
Elmo wants to stand but Chipman is controlling his posture from full guard.
Elmo is standing up over Chipman. Chipman looks to escape but Elmo dives into side control.

Elmo stands up and beckons Chipman to his feet.
Elmo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Conrad Elmo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Chipman is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Elmo still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Elmo has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Elmo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chipman.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Conrad Elmo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Elmo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
