Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lon Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitch Johnson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lon Padilla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitch Johnson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padilla throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Padilla counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson. Padilla takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses. Despite the aggression on Johnson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Padilla has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Padilla has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position. Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padilla wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. Padilla looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Johnson passes into side control.

Johnson wants to control for a moment but Padilla uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Padilla really is a fat lump. Johnson is pressing down on Padilla's thigh, looking to free his foot. Padilla is holding on for now. Padilla might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Johnson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Padilla. Johnson wants to free his trapped foot but Padilla is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Padilla scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Padilla working away. Johnson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Padilla working away. Padilla throwing strikes but Johnson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson moves into full mount! Padilla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson controlling the pace for now. Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Padilla is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Padilla is trying to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padilla throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Johnson wants to counter with a clinch but Padilla pushes him away. Padilla swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Padilla throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Johnson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Padilla dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Padilla throws a counter high kick but Johnson was just alert enough to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Lon Padilla has been cut. A decent looking body kick lands there for Padilla.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab. Johnson tries to clinch up. Padilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Padilla went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Johnson dives in and grabs Padilla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Padilla pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out. Padilla tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range. Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Padilla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Padilla looks for the body kick but Johnson saw that one coming. Padilla dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage!

Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice sprawl there from Padilla as Johnson shoots in. Lon Padilla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitch Johnson. Padilla feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf.

Johnson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Padilla goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Johnson continues to drive forward. Lon Padilla is winning the standup battle so far. Padilla plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Padilla throws a head kick that misses. Johnson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Johnson tries to clinch but Padilla moves out of range. Padilla throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A combination from Johnson does no damage. Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padilla is looking for a counter combo. Johnson lands a big uppercut and Padilla crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Padilla looks OK. Johnson waves Padilla back to his feet!
Padilla is rocked! Johnson lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Padilla out cold! Padilla is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
