The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanchez's choice of entrance music: In The Ghetto - By Elvis Presley. Oswaldo Sanchez looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Roman Yakimyuk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 18 - 3, fighting out of Hilo, Oswaldo Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yakimyuk cracks a nice hook into Sanchez's ribs. Sanchez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sanchez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Yakimyuk. Sanchez shrugs it off though. Yakimyuk scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Yakimyuk cracks Sanchez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sanchez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Yakimyuk finish him?
Sanchez is rocked!
It looks like Oswaldo Sanchez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yakimyuk scores with a jab. Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Yakimyuk finish him? Sanchez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yakimyuk can pounce on him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sanchez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Yakimyuk jabs at Sanchez's body. Yakimyuk changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Yakimyuk shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Yakimyuk slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Yakimyuk lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Roman Yakimyuk! A relieved looking Roman Yakimyuk thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
