Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikki De Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Fenix is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Killing Inside. Ikki De Fenix is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ikki De Fenix! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Fenix checks a low kick from Garcia. Garcia connects with a jab. Garcia ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. De Fenix rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Garcia moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Garcia throws a looping overhand right but De Fenix ducks down to avoid it. De Fenix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Garcia. Garcia misses with a shot to the body and De Fenix counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nice defenses there by De Fenix. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Garcia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by De Fenix.
De Fenix just misses with a punch to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Garcia misses the target. De Fenix misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Fenix misses with a double jab.
Garcia half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Garcia slips a jab and a cross from De Fenix.
Garcia listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. De Fenix throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Garcia sees it coming and avoids it easily. De Fenix tries to sprawl but Garcia drives through with a takedown into half guard. Garcia not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. De Fenix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Fenix keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Garcia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but De Fenix sees it coming and defends easily. De Fenix won't allow Garcia to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia is looking for a kimura but De Fenix is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage. De Fenix is looking to improve his position.
Garcia throwing shots but De Fenix is blocking nicely. Garcia is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and De Fenix reverses the position - he's now on top in Garcia's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Fenix got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garcia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Fenix has managed to get both his arms back between Garcia's legs - danger averted. Garcia is looking to cinch up a triangle. De Fenix throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Garcia's body to avoid the submission. Garcia has instead reached around De Fenix's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Garcia arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Gabriel Garcia! Gabriel Garcia decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Ikki De Fenix was interviewed post fight and said 'When you lose in the CFC is it really a loss ? I'll be back better then ever congrats to my opponent though he was the better man tonight.'.
