Caesar has chosen Warriors of the World as his entrance music. Gaius Julius Caesar will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gaius Julius Caesar !
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spizer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Caesar .
A big left from Spizer misses.
No luck for Spizer with that takedown attempt.

Caesar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spizer, pushing him back against the cage.

Caesar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Caesar lands a few punches from side control.
Spizer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spizer tries to get out of the position.
Caesar is working Spizer over with some ground and pound from side control.

Spizer is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Irish Collar-and-Elbow Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Caesar throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Caesar in side control lands a decent elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caesar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spizer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Caesar misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Spizer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Caesar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Check out the look on Caesar 's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Spizer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Caesar .

Caesar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spizer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Spizer is not content to let Caesar control the position.

Caesar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spizer keeps working.
Caesar fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Caesar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Caesar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Spizer managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Caesar .
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caesar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Caesar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Spizer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caesar on the ground.
Caesar cracks Spizer with an elbow. That is naaassty.


Spizer is rocked!


It looks like Larry Spizer has been cut.
Spizer is breathing heavily.
Caesar lands a big left to the face of Spizer, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Caesar and another - Spizer is out! Caesar stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gaius Julius Caesar !
