Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bone Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cousteau comes to the cage accompanied by 20000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Monster Attacks . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Cousteau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bone Crash!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crash keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cousteau.
Cousteau throws a chopping leg kick but Crash manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Crash flicks out a counter leg kick but Cousteau steps away.
Crash fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cousteau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Crash looks to land a body kick but Cousteau moved away.
Crash pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Crash lands a head kick!
Crash throws a body kick that misses.
Crash displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cousteau.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cousteau wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Bone Crash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cousteau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cousteau misses with the ground and pound.

Crash takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Crash has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Armory $475. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Cousteau working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crash doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crash manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Crash is trying to control. Cousteau wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacques Cousteau will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cousteau throws an elbow that misses. Crash uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cousteau's guard. Nice move by Crash!

Cousteau has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Crash is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cousteau.

I was talking to Cousteau's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Cousteau is trying to drag Crash to the mat but Crash just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cousteau isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Crash stacks Cousteau on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Crash!

Bone Crash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Crash has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
