Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Nixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Williams! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams misses the shot to the body. Nixon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Nixon persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Nixon clinches up against the cage. Williams tries to throw a body punch but Nixon avoids it by throwing Williams back against the cage. Williams prevents the takedown attempt.
Nixon is trying to pull guard but Williams has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Nixon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nixon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Williams lands a body shot in the clinch.
Nixon prevents Williams from breaking the clinch. Williams is trying to break the clinch but Nixon has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nixon fails to pull guard.
Come on Williams - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Williams is looking to break free of the clinch but Nixon has double underhooks. Williams tries to break free but Nixon pushes him back against the cage. Nixon gets control of Williams's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nixon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nixon keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Williams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nixon is proving hard to escape from. Nixon trying to control the position here. Nixon is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nixon is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Williams stands up and waves to Nixon to follow him. Williams lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Williams misses with a straight right. Nixon staying out of range there. Williams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Sebastian Nixon has been cut.
