Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willy Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knuckle Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wonka comes into the arena with Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse blaring out of the sound system. Stone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gimme Shelter kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Wonka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knuckle Stone!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wonka misses with an uppercut
and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stone walks into a straight right hand from Wonka.
Wonka checks a low kick from Stone.
Wonka cracks Stone with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stone misses with a wild body shot.
It looked like Wonka was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Wonka jabs Stone right on the nose. Stone blinks but takes it well.
Wonka jabs Stone to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Stone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wonka punishes Stone's body with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stone throws a shot from downtown. Wonka moves away and avoids it.
Wonka throws a body punch but Stone moves out of range.
Wonka has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Gym of the Gods in the buildup to the fight.
Wonka looks for a takedown but Stone sprawls well.
Stone throws out a counter right but Wonka avoids it with no problem.
Knuckle Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stone looks to land a left hand but Wonka moved out of range nicely.
Wonka fails to land with a series of punches.
Wonka lands with a nice body punch.
Wonka closes the distance and clinches up with Stone, looking for a takedown. Wonka pushes Stone against the cage but Stone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Wonka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wonka lands a right hook to the body.
Stone walks into a left hand.
Stone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wonka scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Wonka swings for the body but Stone moves out of range.
Wonka moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stone lands an overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wonka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Willy Wonka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wonka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stone moves away.
Stone needs to keep his hands up - Wonka had a free shot at his head there.
Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wonka misses with a takedown attempt - Stone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stone digs a good hook to Wonka's body.

Wonka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stone doesn't seem bothered though.

Wonka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stone is trying to defend but Wonka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stone is looking to improve his position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Stone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wonka throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily.
Stone is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wonka with a body shot.
Wonka lands a jab to Stone's midsection.
Wonka takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses.
Wonka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wonka.
Stone looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Wonka misses with a shot to the body
and Wonka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wonka lands with a shot to the body.
Wonka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wonka is looking to wear down Stone with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stone tries to sprawl but Wonka drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wonka wants to work for an arm triangle but Stone is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wonka is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stone reverses the position - he's now on top in Wonka's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wonka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wonka looks to land a strike but Stone avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Wonka has gone for a leg lock! Stone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wonka's guard.


Wonka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wonka throws his legs up looking for a submission but Stone uses it to pass to side control.

Wonka is looking to regain half guard here but Stone keeps moving and retains side control.

Stone's coach down at LOD: Xtreme MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Stone sizes up Wonka with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wonka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


It looks like Willy Wonka has been cut.

Wonka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone keeping moving, preventing Wonka from controlling successfully.
Wonka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Wonka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Wonka wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Willy Wonka is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wonka closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Stone lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
No joy there for Wonka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wonka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stone can do to turn this around?
Stone connects with a right hand. Wonka shakes it off.
Wonka throws out a loose jab but Stone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stone lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Stone misses with a straight left.
Stone keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wonka goes for a double leg but Stone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stone continues to drive forward.
It seemed like Stone was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wonka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stone sprawls well. Stone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wonka gets slowly back to his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stone! But no joy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Willy Wonka.
Well Wonka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
