Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds has chosen Numb/Encore as his entrance music. Travis Reynolds acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Bashor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bashor drives through with a takedown into Reynolds's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bashor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reynolds wants to stand and escape but Bashor is having none of it. Bashor wants to pass the guard but Reynolds is keeping the position. Bashor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reynolds pulls Bashor in close to prevent any damage. Reynolds not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bashor preventing the sweep. Bashor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Reynolds pulls Bashor in to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bashor landing some decent shots from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bashor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bashor is fighting to break Reynolds's control of his arms but Reynolds is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Reynolds tries to land a sweep but no joy. Reynolds wants to get back to his feet but Bashor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A decent looking cross lands there for Reynolds. Reynolds tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bashor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Reynolds fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bashor is out of range. Bashor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reynolds swivels and escapes. Reynolds scores with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bashor doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Reynolds counter with a right hand. Reynolds connects with a high kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reynolds has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bashor shoots in looking for a takedown but Reynolds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bashor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Bashor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bashor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reynolds tries to avoid it but Bashor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reynolds to the ground. Reynolds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Travis Reynolds is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice takedown defense from Reynolds. No joy for Bashor on that attempt. Bashor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bashor is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bashor dives in for a single leg takedown but Reynolds sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Reynolds is trying to counter with his kicks. Reynolds clinches up against the cage. Reynolds connects with a knee to the head.
Oh Bashor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Reynolds jerks Bashor's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Bashor drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Reynolds goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Reynolds because Bashor was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
