Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Hagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Spring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spring has chosen Human as his entrance music. The key to victory for Robert Hagan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Spring! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spring forces Hagan back against the cage and clinches. Spring has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hagan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Spring has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hagan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Spring prevents a takedown attempt there.

Spring pulls guard effortlessly. Hagan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hagan stopping the sweep attempt from Spring. Hagan has gone for a leg lock! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spring accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hagan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Spring manages to get himself to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Spring can do anything to dispel that myth. Hagan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Spring looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hagan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hagan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Spring avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hagan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spring swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Spring looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hagan is one step ahead there. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hagan wants to clinch and Spring counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hagan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Hagan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spring escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Spring ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Spring no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hagan distracts Spring with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Spring looks gassed! Hagan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spring works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Spring is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hagan slips nicely into half guard. Hagan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Spring is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hagan scores with a couple of nice shots. Hagan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hagan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Spring is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hagan lands strikes from half guard. Hagan working Spring over with strikes. Spring flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hagan connects with a nice short shot to Spring's temple. Hagan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hagan passes to side control. Spring is trying to improve his position. Hagan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hagan in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hagan misses with a takedown attempt and Spring counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Hagan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Spring looking to pass the guard. Hagan looking for a guillotine here but Spring defends easily.
Hagan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Spring is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hagan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Spring's back instead. Hagan is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Spring taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Hagan.
