Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between IP Freely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard B Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freely comes to the cage accompanied by The Trooper. IP Freely has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, IP Freely!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard B Riddick!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freely gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Riddick counters with a straight right hand.
Riddick cracks Freely with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Riddick moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've been hearing reports that Freely has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Freely looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Riddick doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Freely doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Riddick counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for IP Freely. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It seemed like Riddick was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freely wants to pass the guard but Riddick is defending well.
Riddick felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Freely seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Riddick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Freely missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riddick trying to control but Freely postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A swing and a miss from Riddick.
Freely shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Riddick but Riddick pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Freely will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Riddick let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Freely tries for a takedown but Riddick circles away easily
and Riddick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Freely dives in and grabs Riddick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riddick pushes down on Freely's head and hops out.
Riddick wants to counter with a clinch but Freely pushes him away.
Riddick leaves Freely with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Donk. Freely catches Riddick right on the button with a cross.
Riddick has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Riddick cracks Freely with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Riddick darts in and clinches Freely up against the cage.
Riddick lands a left hand that snaps the head of Freely backwards.
Riddick lands a nice elbow.
Riddick misses with a short punch on the inside.

Riddick lands a body shot.
Riddick tries to throw a body punch but Freely avoids it by throwing Riddick back against the cage.
Freely tries for a takedown but Riddick manages to get underhooks.
Freely looking for a takedown.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riddick goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Riddick is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Riddick creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Freely's defenses.


It looks like IP Freely has been cut.
Riddick misses with a short punch on the inside.

Riddick lands with a light punch inside.
Freely takes an elbow to the forehead.
Freely is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Riddick is defending well.
Riddick works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Riddick is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Still in the clinch, Riddick scores with a nice short uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Freely moves out of range of the strikes.

IP Freely seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freely has his takedown stuffed
letting Riddick counter with a right hand.
Riddick swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Freely.
Nice takedown defense from Riddick. No joy for Freely on that attempt.

Oh Freely is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riddick lands an overhand right.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Riddick lands a nice looking body shot.
Freely shoots and misses
and Riddick scores with a counter punch that sends Freely to the canvas! Riddick smells blood - he's punishing Freely with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Freely has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
