Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Longfellow Deeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Man Who Sold The World kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Conner!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deeds throws an off balance right hand
and Conner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Deeds is defended easily by Conner.
Deeds digs a good body shot into Conner's ribs.
Conner catches Deeds with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Deeds is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Conner.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Conner! But no joy.
Deeds misses with a hook.
Deeds throws a jab but it's blocked by Conner.
It seemed like Conner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Deeds ducks under a wild hook from Conner.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conner throws a body shot but no joy.
Conner throws a low kick but Deeds moves out of range easily.

Conner is looking to stand up but Deeds won't let him.

Deeds lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Deeds.

That was a close round but I would say that Longfellow Deeds will probably get the nod.

Deeds changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conner tries to avoid it but Deeds manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conner to the ground. Conner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Deeds or perhaps it was just good defense by Conner, which made it look bad.

Conner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Conner loads up on a big right hand but Deeds slips the punch.
Deeds drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Conner throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Deeds does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Despite the aggression on Conner's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Conner circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Deeds drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Conner follows Deeds to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
