Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derfel Cadarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadarn's entrance music is Old England's Glory. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Derfel Cadarn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses.
Jenkins scores with a head kick.
Cadarn on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Cadarn takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Cadarn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jenkins is looking to slow Cadarn down with leg kicks.
Jenkins throws a leg kick that misses.
Jenkins uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cadarn.
Jenkins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cadarn.

Jenkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cadarn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cadarn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Cadarn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jenkins.
Cadarn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jenkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cadarn. That did some damage!
Jenkins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cadarn momentarily.

Jenkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cadarn walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jenkins checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jenkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Cadarn thuds a left hand into Jenkins's body.
Cadarn throws a chopping leg kick but Jenkins manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Jenkins takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jenkins misses with the combination.
Cadarn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cadarn throws a lazy right hand but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cadarn misses with a looping right.
Jenkins fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jenkins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cadarn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jenkins.
Cadarn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Cadarn.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses
and Cadarn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


That has opened up Jim Jenkins's cut even more.
Cadarn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cadarn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cadarn is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jenkins.
Jenkins looks to land a left hand but Cadarn moved out of range nicely.
Cadarn throws a shot from downtown. Jenkins moves away and avoids it.

Good leg kick by Jenkins there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Cadarn counters with a straight right hand.
Cadarn throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins throws a big counter head kick but Cadarn avoids it with no problem.
Jenkins throws a leg kick which misses Cadarn's front leg but catches the back leg as Cadarn tries to avoid it.
Jim Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins avoids the body shot from Cadarn.
Cadarn tries to work over Jenkins's front leg with a kick but Jenkins checks it.
Cadarn misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss.
It looked like Cadarn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jenkins.
Cadarn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jenkins. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Cadarn throws out a leg kick but Jenkins moves out of range and Cadarn only half commits.
Cadarn throws the left hand but Jenkins avoids the punch easily.
Cadarn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenkins manages to avoid it.
Jenkins tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cadarn is able to avoid easily.
Cadarn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jenkins.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Cadarn is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cadarn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jenkins at a distance.

Cadarn is looking to counter the offense by Jenkins and move into the clinch.
Jenkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jenkins throws a front kick aimed at Cadarn's knee but Cadarn avoids it well.
Cadarn fires out a quick counter leg kick but Jenkins just manages to avoid it.

Cadarn throws a big counter combination but Jenkins scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Cadarn is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Cadarn cracks Jenkins with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cadarn has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jenkins to stand back up!

Jenkins moves out of range as Cadarn throws a body kick.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jenkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jenkins throws out a loose jab but Cadarn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jenkins has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cadarn.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.
Cadarn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jenkins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Cadarn drops Jenkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jenkins looks back up at him and smiles so Cadarn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Jenkins is rocked!


The cut above Jim Jenkins's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cadarn weaves into range and cracks Jenkins right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Jenkins goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Cadarn is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Derfel Cadarn!
A very excited looking Derfel Cadarn made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
