Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson shoots for a double leg takedown but Wanaka sprawls well. He's pushed Stevenson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wanaka keeps the fight on the outside.
Wanaka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stevenson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wanaka is putting a hurting on Stevenson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Stevenson is pushing Wanaka's head away, looking to escape. Wanaka manages to hold on to the position though.

Stevenson pushes Wanaka away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wanaka gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Wanaka creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Stevenson is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wanaka lands a strong strike to the head of Stevenson. That's dazed him! Wanaka looking to finish here. Stevenson is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Wanaka lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Wanaka!
