The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanlon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hanlon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Some wild striking there from Hanlon.
Hanlon throws a series of punches but Darkeyes avoids them all with ease.
Hanlon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hanlon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Darkeyes as he avoids it easily.
Hanlon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hanlon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hanlon looks to land a combination but Darkeyes avoids it well.
Darkeyes tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hanlon manages to circle out of the way.
Hanlon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hanlon looks to land a combination but Darkeyes avoids it well.
Darkeyes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hanlon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hanlon tries to clinch but Darkeyes is having none of it.
It looked like Darkeyes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Darkeyes dips to his left and cracks Hanlon with an uppercut!
Hanlon throws a series of punches but Darkeyes moves out of range.

It looks like Mark Hanlon has been cut.
Darkeyes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hanlon looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Hanlon throws a nice looking combination but Darkeyes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Darkeyes lands a nice hook to Hanlon's body. Hanlon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Darkeyes creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hanlon's defenses.
Hanlon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Darkeyes lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Darkeyes blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hanlon is looking to control Darkeyes's arms but Darkeyes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hanlon has his back to the cage.

Mark Hanlon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Hanlon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Kaladin Darkeyes was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
