The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland misses with a series of wild punches.
Hines throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Sutherland counters with a left and a right that stings Hines.
Sutherland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sutherland closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hines circles away.
Hines closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sutherland's guard.
Sutherland tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hines in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sutherland is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hines won't allow Sutherland to sweep him here.

Sutherland looking for subs off his back but Hines has passed one foot through into half guard.
Sutherland tries to get to full guard but Hines has control of the leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sutherland pushes Hines off but Hines dives into side control.

Hines looks up at the clock and then as Sutherland takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hines smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Sutherland is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hines off and has taken his back!

Sutherland doesn't have the hooks in and Hines manages to turn into his guard.

Hines connects with a couple of short punches.
Sutherland is trying to keep Hines in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hines scores with a head kick. Sutherland tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sutherland shoots for a takedown but Hines saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hines has managed to clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hines as Sutherland tries to tie him up.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Sutherland blocks the elbow strike.
Hines is trying to pull guard but Sutherland turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Sutherland tries to stall but Hines uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Sutherland is looking to break free of the clinch but Hines has double underhooks.

Sutherland looking to sit in guard and control but Hines gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Granville Hines overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sutherland is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hines knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sutherland on the ground.
Sutherland has his feet on Hines's thighs here. He's pushed Hines off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hines screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
