Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luca Vicini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luca Vicini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Hall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hall swings for the body but Vicini moves out of range.
Hall just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromVicini.
Vicini on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Vicini closes the distance and clinches.

Vicini breaks the clinch.
Hall throws a head kick that misses
and Vicini counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hall keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hall throws a lazy right hand but Vicini sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vicini looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Hall chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A jab from Vicini does it's job there.
Hall lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vicini slips under a jab.
Hall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Vicini pushes Hall up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vicini stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Vicini is trying to force a seperation but Hall has the dominant position.
Hall keeps control of Vicini as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Vicini is trying to push Hall away but Hall has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vicini has had enough of the clinch but Hall keeps him there for the moment.
Vicini will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hall up against the cage.
Hall prevents Vicini from breaking the clinch.
Hall is struggling to control the position.

Vicini manages to break the clinch.
Vicini stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vicini wants it to stay on the feet.
Vicini thinks about countering with a body kick.
Hall misses the shot to the body.
Hall misses with an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vicini on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hall misses with a hook.

Vicini drives through and clinches with Hall against the cage.

Vicini breaks from the clinch.
Vicini drops his hands momentarily and Hall takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Luca Vicini has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hall.
Hall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vicini.
Hall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vicini seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Vicini tries a head kick but it misses.
Vicini lands a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hall misses with a hook.
Hall takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Justin Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall misses with a looping right.
Vicini with a nice cross.
Hall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vicini.
Hall misses with an uppercut

and Vicini counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hall! Vicini lets Hall back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Hall is rocked!
Hall throws the left hand but Vicini avoids the punch easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Vicini misses the target.
Hall is still on wobbly legs! Can Vicini finish him?
Vicini changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hall seems to have recovered his senses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vicini darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Hall's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Vicini before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luca Vicini!
An out of breath Luca Vicini thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
