The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maskrey stuffs the takedown.
Jones avoids the head kick by Maskrey.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Maskrey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Griplock Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maskrey throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.

Jones is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Maskrey.
Maskrey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maskrey moves away.
Maskrey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maskrey wants it to stay on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maskrey swivels and escapes.

Jones swings for the body but Maskrey moves out of range.
Maskrey darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Maskrey into the cage.

No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maskrey but Maskrey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones sets himself, and Maskrey steps forward looking for the clinch! Jones avoids it this time.

Maskrey leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Maskrey shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Maskrey tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jones as Maskrey tries to tie him up.
Maskrey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maskrey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maskrey is proving hard to escape from.
Jones has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Maskrey to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jones is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Maskrey pulls down on the head and he's put Jones to sleep! This one is all over!
