Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samir Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kahric has chosen When I Die - Genocide(Jusuf Dzilic) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samir Kahric! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers fails with the takedown. Kahric throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kahric off to one side. Kahric shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rogers gets caught flat footed, as Kahric shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rogers wants to stand up but Kahric is controlling him. Kahric won't allow Rogers to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kahric drops back looking for a leg! Rogers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rogers manages to kick Kahric off! Kahric jumps back into Rogers's guard. Kahric prevents Rogers from getting back to his feet. Kahric drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rogers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kahric has Rogers in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers trying to control but Kahric is working from the bottom. Kahric is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rogers wants to control from the top but Kahric keeps moving. Rogers looking to pass the guard. Kahric has his foot on Rogers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers works his way back into a safe position though. Rogers controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kahric had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rogers defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rogers slips nicely into half guard. Kahric looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rogers looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kahric is staying active underneath Rogers, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kahric has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Rogers works his way into side control. Kahric manages to get back to half guard. Rogers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Kahric is pressing down on Rogers's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Rogers wants to control from the top but Kahric keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kahric keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully. Rogers is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kahric is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rogers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kahric has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rogers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rogers wants to control from the top but Kahric keeps moving. Rogers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kahric has an active guard here but Rogers has managed to pass into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rogers looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kahric tries to get to full guard but Rogers has control of the leg. Rogers controlling the action here. Kahric looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kahric actively working from the bottom here. Rogers is pressing down on Kahric's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kahric is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Samir Kahric will probably get the nod. That's time! Rogers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rogers fails with a takedown attempt. Kahric shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Kahric keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kahric dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Kahric's head and hops out. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rogers. Kahric is not content to let Rogers control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kahric down.

Kahric tightening his grip on Rogers, looking for the choke. Rogers is trying to get back to his feet but Kahric has full control of the position and if anything, Rogers has just worked his way into a worse spot. Rogers is really stuck here.
Rogers looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Rogers wants to get back to his feet. Kahric is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rogers has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers trying to control the action but Kahric just sinks the hooks in. Rogers defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Rogers tries to escape but Kahric has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kahric not allowing Rogers to control his hands. Samir Kahric has got the better of the ground game so far. Kahric is looking for the choke from the back position but Rogers is controlling his hands well. Rogers trying to get back to his feet but Kahric is in full control for now.

A couple of punches soften him up though and Kahric has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Rogers taps out!
