Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harold Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Israel Vazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Israel Vazquez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harold Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Israel Vazquez!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vazquez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vazquez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kidd was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Vazquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kidd sprawls well. Kidd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vazquez gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kidd slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Vazquez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kidd changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Vazquez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kidd can pounce on him.
Vazquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kidd appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Vazquez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kidd wants to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vazquez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kidd does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vazquez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kidd defends it well.

Vazquez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kidd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vazquez has managed to get both his arms back between Kidd's legs - danger averted.

Vazquez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kidd as he avoids it easily.

Kidd stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kidd wants it to stay on the feet.

Vazquez is breathing heavily.
Vazquez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kidd closes the distance and clinches up with Vazquez, looking for a takedown. Kidd pushes Vazquez against the cage but Vazquez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Vazquez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kidd swivels and escapes.
Vazquez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to avoid it but Vazquez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kidd to the ground. Kidd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Israel Vazquez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kidd leaves Vazquez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Kidd counters with a shoot takedown. Vazquez fights it but they end up in guard.
Kidd would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kidd stands up from Vazquez's guard - Kidd perhaps looking for a knockout.

Vazquez clinches up with Kidd and pushes him back against the cage.
Vazquez keeps control of Kidd as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Vazquez fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kidd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vazquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Kidd.

Vazquez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kidd manages to pass to side control.
Kidd lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kidd wants to work for an arm triangle but Vazquez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Harold Kidd showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kidd has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
