Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Bags (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes into the arena with Conteo blaring out of the sound system. Bags comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rob Zombie - SuperBeast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Larry Bags will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Larry Bags! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bags looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Santos! Bags wants to take his opponent's back but Santos doesn't allow it. Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bags on the ground. Bags gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Bags misses with a few strikes there.

Bags drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Bags off! Bags jumps back into Santos's guard. Bags looks gassed! Bags trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bags won't allow Santos to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bags stands up from Santos's guard - Bags perhaps looking for a knockout. Bags throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Santos on the side of the head. Bags throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease. Bags throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bags off to one side. Jimmy Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Bags. Santos tries to clinch but Bags moves out of range. Bags throws a right and a left that both miss. Bags fails with the takedown. Santos wants to clinch. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bags paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Larry Bags dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Santos wants to clinch but Bags slips to the side and Bags counters with a straight right hand. Bags clinches up against the cage. Santos stalling in the clinch but Bags improves position. Bags pulls guard effortlessly. Santos stands up and waves to Bags to follow him. Bags misses with a kick to the body.

Bags bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santos's guard. Bags passes into half guard. Bags is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Santos defends it well. Bags prevents Santos from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bags is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work. Santos pushes Bags off looking to stand but Bags dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Santos closes the distance looking to clinch and Bags holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bags wants a takedown.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bags managing to block the knees to the body from Santos.

Larry Bags showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Santos tries to clinch but Bags moves away and Bags counters with a nice double leg into side control. Santos won't be happy with that. Bags is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Santos wants to get back to his feet. Bags decides to stand up, so the ref orders Santos to his feet. Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Bags. Bags gets slowly back to his feet. Jimmy Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos slips a jab and a cross from Bags.

And that's the end of the fight! Larry Bags comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bags winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
