Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wayne Piquette!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piquette has Lara up against the cage in a clinch.
Lara looking for a takedown.
Piquette can't break the clinch.
Lara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Piquette avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Piquette lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lara won't allow Piquette to pass to mount.
Lara blocking the ground and pound attempt from Piquette.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Piquette in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lara is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piquette stops Lara from getting back to his feet.
Lara is trying to escape back to his feet but Piquette uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Lara is trying to control but can't.
Lara really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lara wants to get back to his feet.
Lara wants to improve his position but Piquette is controlling well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Piquette.
Piquette wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lara keeps working.

Piquette throws a strike aimed at the side of Lara's head but Lara avoids it well.
Lara tries to buck Piquette off but Piquette is having none of it.
Lara is not content to let Piquette control the position.
Lara wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Piquette in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Lara is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
