Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Wieclaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieclaw takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Shepard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wieclaw wants to get back to his feet.
Shepard sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wieclaw defending well though.
Wieclaw is looking for a sweep. Shepard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wieclaw can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shepard thows a huge punch but Wieclaw dodges it nicely.
Shepard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wieclaw's head.
Wieclaw is trying is best to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wieclaw is looking to control Shepard's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wieclaw avoid being mounted?

Wieclaw wants to stand up but Shepard is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shepard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shepard postures up in Wieclaw's guard and throws a big left but Wieclaw blocks it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wieclaw misses with a takedown attempt - Shepard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shepard tries to counter by clinching up but Wieclaw breaks away and moves out of range.

Wieclaw takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Eric Shepard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Wieclaw.

Shepard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wieclaw to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Shepard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wieclaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shepard can't keep his opponent in guard - Wieclaw advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Wieclaw slips a nice elbow through Shepard's hands, connecting with Shepard's forehead.

Wieclaw is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wieclaw moves into full mount! Shepard won't be happy about that!

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Shepard will probably get the nod.
That's time! Shepard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wieclaw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shepard but Shepard pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Shepard is looking to wear down Wieclaw with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Wieclaw moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Wieclaw's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wieclaw's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Wieclaw jumps guard and drags Shepard to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Shepard throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Wieclaw thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Shepard takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Wieclaw in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Shepard looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Wieclaw turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
