Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frances Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Walsh will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt misses with a takedown

and Walsh counters by moving into the clinch.

Walsh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Holt tries to keep at a distance but Walsh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Holt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Walsh uses from the top position.
Holt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walsh controls the pace.
Walsh stands and throws Holt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holt tries to escape but Walsh is in control.
Walsh in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Walsh tries to stand but Holt is controlling his head.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Walsh is working to tighten his grip on Holt's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Holt has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Walsh is really squeezing tight and eventually Holt passes out! Walsh breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
