Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicolas Giacomo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paradox Percius!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Percius misses with a wild body shot.
Giacomo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Percius lands a nice shot that snaps Giacomo's head back.
Percius blocks a head kick by Giacomo.
And Percius tries to counter it with a takedown but Giacomo pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Giacomo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Percius dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Percius lands an impressive looking overhand right. Giacomo doesn't seem phased though.
Giacomo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Percius.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Giacomo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Percius lands a nice shot that snaps Giacomo's head back.
Percius misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Giacomo fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Giacomo shoots in for a takedown but Percius shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicolas Giacomo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Giacomo shoots in and bounces Percius off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Percius looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Giacomo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Percius wants to get back to full guard.
Giacomo is just content to waste time from the top position. Percius takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Percius wants to sweep here but Giacomo controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Percius lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Percius passes into half guard.
Percius trying to mount his opponent but Giacomo defends it.
Percius is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Giacomo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Paradox Percius decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
