The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Garfunkel darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Garfunkel lands with a hook. Akashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Seijuro Akashi has been cut.
Garfunkel cracks Akashi with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Akashi looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Garfunkel finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garfunkel lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Akashi falls backwards - clearly groggy! Garfunkel dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ramm Garfunkel!
