The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz Castillo leaves Hendo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hendo tries to clinch but Ruiz Castillo moves out of range.
Hendo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Hendo tries to get set, Ruiz Castillo tries to push him back and clinch up but Hendo manages to avoid the attempt.

Ruiz Castillo is working for a guillotine from mount but Hendo frees his head quite easily.

Ruiz Castillo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hendo is now in Ruiz Castillo's guard. A big mistake from Ruiz Castillo there, giving up the dominant position!
Hendo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruiz Castillo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Oh but Ruiz Castillo is tightening it up a little... Hendo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hendo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hendo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ruiz Castillo!
