Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocky Johnson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dana Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rocky Johnson! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Dana Richard has been cut. Richard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Richard is looking to control Johnson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Richard avoid being mounted? Johnson blocks the strikes from Richard.
Johnson wants to stand up but Richard is controlling the position.
Richard throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Richard to get to his feet. Johnson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Richard attempts a counter takedown but Johnson avoids it well and moves away. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Johnson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Richard clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Johnson trying to control momentarily.
Richard trying to control the hands but Johnson breaks the grip. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Richard trying to get back to his feet but Johnson is in full control for now. Johnson biding his time, looking for the opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Richard trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Johnson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Richard trying to control the position but Johnson manages to sink in the hooks. Richard manages to stand up with Johnson still on his back. Eventually Johnson drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Richard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Johnson wants to control but Richard is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Richard is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it. Richard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johnson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Richard misses with a strike from the bottom. Johnson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Johnson decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.
Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnson misses with a kick to the body.
Richard attempts a counter takedown but Johnson avoids it well and moves away. Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Richard to the ground. Johnson is now in Richard's guard. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Richard is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richard is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.

Johnson gets a takedown into half guard. Richard tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Johnson is keen to just control but Richard is a slippery customer. Richard manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Johnson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Johnson manages to pull guard.
Richard stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him. Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Johnson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Johnson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Johnson stalks Richard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Richard's face. Richard staggers backwards, shaken. Johnson plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Richard swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Richard face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rocky Johnson!
