Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harry Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Boulks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Boulks told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Harry Davies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Will Boulks! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davies misses with a head kick.
Boulks feints the counter takedown. Boulks lands a lovely overhand right. Davies throws a sloppy head kick and Boulks moves out of range easily. Davies shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boulks defends it nicely. And Boulks tries to counter it with a takedown but Davies pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Boulks misses the target. A jab from Boulks misses. Davies changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Davies throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boulks's waist but Boulks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davies off to one side. Boulks tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davies has a takedown stuffed. Boulks changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Davies. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davies misses with a takedown so Boulks counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Boulks tries to stand but Davies is controlling from the bottom. Davies is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Boulks has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Davies is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boulks gets to his feet. Davies looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Davies takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Davies shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Boulks with the counter takedown but Davies avoids it easily. Boulks swats away the attempt to clinch by Davies. Boulks is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Davies shoots in but no luck this time. Davies fails with a takedown attempt. Boulks drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Davies defends it well. Will Boulks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davies will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Davies with a poor takedown and Boulks counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Boulks is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Davies manages to get to full guard. Boulks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Davies is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boulks defends well. Boulks wants to stand but Davies is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davies controls Boulks momentarily but Boulks frees himself. Davies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boulks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Davies is tightening it up a little... Boulks has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Boulks reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Boulks taps out! Nice BJJ there by Davies!
