Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anzor Aziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kagami Taiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anzor Aziev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kagami Taiga! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aziev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taiga defends it nicely. Taiga moves into the clinch. Aziev is working for takedown but Taiga is calmly controlling the position for now. Taiga has clasped his hands together around Aziev's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Taiga wants to control but Aziev is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taiga wants to stand but Aziev is controlling his arm. Aziev sneaks back into half guard. Aziev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taiga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Taiga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Taiga thows a huge punch but Aziev dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Aziev is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aziev is defended easily by Taiga. Taiga appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anzor Aziev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taiga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aziev is looking to counter with head kicks. Taiga defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aziev. Aziev tries to keep at a distance but Taiga has taken the fight into the clinch.

Aziev tries to circle away but Taiga has him pinned against the cage. Taiga has Aziev pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Taiga pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Aziev tumbling to the mat - Taiga dives into Aziev's guard. Taiga landing with the ground and pound. Taiga must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Taiga landing some decent shots from guard. Taiga tries to free his leg and advance position but Aziev is retaining full guard.

Taiga postures up in Aziev's guard and throws a big left but Aziev blocks it. Taiga not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Aziev seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Taiga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aziev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A chopping leg kick lands by Aziev. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kagami Taiga dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Taiga. Anzor Aziev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taiga avoids the head kick by Aziev.
Aziev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taiga is fending him off so far but Aziev persists. Nope, Taiga circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anzor Aziev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taiga looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Aziev looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taiga is pressing down on Aziev's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aziev is holding on for now. Taiga is taking a breather. Aziev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taiga is looking for a kimura but Aziev is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taiga to get the leverage. Aziev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Aziev actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aziev is trying to stand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aziev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Taiga manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Aziev on his heels. He'll look to pass Aziev's guard now, I'm sure. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aziev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Taiga defends well and Aziev ends up having to push Taiga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Taiga darts in and clinches Aziev up against the cage. Taiga has clasped his hands together around Aziev's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Aziev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taiga wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Aziev struggling a bit here. Taiga has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Aziev scores with a takedown into Taiga's guard. Taiga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aziev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Taiga is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aziev tries to free his leg and advance position but Taiga is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aziev is pushing down on Taiga's leg trying to pass to half guard. Taiga is fighting to maintain full guard but Aziev has managed to sneak the leg through. Aziev sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Taiga defending well though. Taiga is trying to stand.
Aziev is looking for a kimura here.
Aziev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Taiga flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Taiga is trying to get back to full guard. Kagami Taiga has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Aziev is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Taiga! Taiga wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Aziev.
Aziev is in the full mount, landing strikes. Aziev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Taiga is surviving well by controlling Aziev's body position as best he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taiga is trying to escape the mount.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kagami Taiga. Well Taiga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
