Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuuga Ikeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuuga Ikeda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuuga Ikeda! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ikeda darts in looking for a takedown but Kang gets double underhooks and turns Ikeda into the cage. Kang closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ikeda did well to prevent Kang getting side control. Kang looks to land a strike but Ikeda avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Kang looking to sit in guard and control but Ikeda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kang preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ikeda wants to pass the guard but Kang is keeping the position. Ikeda connects with a couple of short punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang wants to get back to his feet but Ikeda is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kang manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang is looking for a takedown. Kang drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kang gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Kang trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kang trying to control the position from guard on top but Ikeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ikeda works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kang postures up and lands a big shot to Ikeda's brow. Ikeda keeping moving, preventing Kang from controlling successfully. Ikeda manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ikeda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kang lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Ikeda throws a head kick that misses and Kang counters with a shoot takedown. Ikeda fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kang is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Pitbull MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Ikeda wants to stand up but Kang is controlling him. Kang lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kang throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kang lands a couple of decent looking shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kang not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ikeda is looking to stand up but Kang isn't so interested in that idea. Kang trying to control but Ikeda is working from the bottom. Kang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ikeda works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ikeda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kang. Kang postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kang lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kang postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kang throws an elbow that misses. Ikeda uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kang's guard. Nice move by Ikeda!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ikeda cracks Kang with a solid left hand. Ikeda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ikeda lands a couple of digs. Kang is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ikeda presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Ikeda gets underhooks to prevent Kang's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Kang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ikeda is looking to take this one to the mat. Kang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ikeda pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ikeda has clasped his hands together around Kang's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kang dodges the ground and pound from Ikeda. Ikeda has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Kang dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ikeda swivels and escapes. Nick Kang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kang fails with a takedown attempt. Ikeda doesn't manage to clinch there - Kang circles away.
A head kick misses from Ikeda. Ikeda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ikeda lands in his opponent's guard. Kang prevents Ikeda from getting back to his feet. Kang stands up over Ikeda, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ikeda scores with a jab to the body. Kang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ikeda to the mat! Ikeda manages to get full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ikeda is looking to stand up but Kang isn't so interested in that idea. Kang looking to sit in guard and control but Ikeda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ikeda throwing strikes but missing. Ikeda trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ikeda slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ikeda wants to control but Kang is keeping him busy. Ikeda in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuuga Ikeda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Ikeda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kang tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ikeda manages to circle out of the way. Kang closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ikeda circles away. Kang shoots in and drives through. Ikeda sprawls well. A punch combination from Ikeda misses. Ikeda stuffs the takedown attempt from Kang. Kang gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Kang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kang is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ikeda. Ikeda throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ikeda is fending him off so far but Kang persists. Nope, Ikeda circles away and we're back to standing. Ikeda clinches up with Kang and pushes him back against the cage. Kang has picked Ikeda up - he's going for a ride! Kang dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ikeda regains full guard. Nicely done.

Kang is working an open guard so Ikeda takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kang has a takedown stuffed. Kang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ikeda's waist but Ikeda gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kang off to one side. Ikeda misses with a takedown attempt and Kang counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stalling in the clinch from Ikeda.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Kang has Ikeda pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kang pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ikeda tumbling to the mat - Kang dives into Ikeda's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ikeda has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kang off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kang moves into range and clinches up with Ikeda. Ikeda breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ikeda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kang somewhat. Ikeda tries to bum rush Kang with a series of wild strikes but Kang uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ikeda throws a head kick that misses. Kang gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kang shoots for a takedown but Ikeda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ikeda. Kang seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ikeda looking to score a takedown here. Kang is defending well but Ikeda drives through and ends up in Kang's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ikeda throwing strikes from guard but Kang blocks nicely. And that's the end of the fight! Yuuga Ikeda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ikeda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
