PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Mcknight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mcknight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boss looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mcknight working the body and head with strikes.
Boss takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Boss is looking for a sweep.
Boss is trying to control Mcknight's posture but Mcknight avoids it.
Boss tries to buck Mcknight off but Mcknight is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boss is trying to work for a sweep but Mcknight has mounted him!
Boss is trying desperately to improve position.

Boss tries to hold on but Mcknight pushes him away.
Mcknight working the ground and pound effectively.
Mcknight is landing with some decent strikes but Boss is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Randy Boss has been cut.
Mcknight scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Boss?

That has opened up Randy Boss's cut even more.
Boss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcknight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee warns Boss that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mcknight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mcknight pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Boss wants to control but Mcknight is having none of it.

Mcknight is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Boss is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Boss flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Mcknight anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Boss and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Mcknight slips an arm under Boss chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mcknight has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mcknight is squeezing on Boss like an anaconda would it's prey. Boss fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
