Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wyatt Rojas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Edgerton! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edgerton looks to land a combination but Rojas avoids it well. Rojas throws a big counter combination but Edgerton scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Edgerton throws a combination. Rojas tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A nice combination there by Edgerton.
Rojas is rocked!
It looks like Wyatt Rojas has been cut. Edgerton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Oh Rojas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Edgerton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rojas seems to have got his legs back now. Edgerton lands a takedown into guard.
Edgerton stays in close to Rojas's body and controls the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Edgerton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Edgerton feints and as Rojas raises his hands in defense, Edgerton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Edgerton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rojas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Edgerton stands up from Rojas's guard - Edgerton perhaps looking for a knockout. Edgerton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas is looking to regain half guard here but Edgerton keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rojas is working hard here to advance position. Edgerton stands up and we're back to a striking position. Edgerton throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rojas counters with a left and a right that stings Edgerton. Edgerton throws a right hand that Rojas ducks under and follows up with a left that Rojas also avoids with ease. Edgerton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Edgerton tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Edgerton as he avoids it easily. Edgerton thows a left - swing and a miss! Rojas gets caught flat footed, as Edgerton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Edgerton stands up and waves to Rojas to follow him. Edgerton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Edgerton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edgerton wants to clinch. Rojas seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Edgerton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Edgerton looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgerton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rojas to his feet. Edgerton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Edgerton in particular looking to stall. Edgerton gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Edgerton tries to close the distance and clinch but Rojas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rojas went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Edgerton has managed to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Rojas tries to score a body lock takedown but Edgerton shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rojas wants to break free but Edgerton has control.

Edgerton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wyatt Rojas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rojas has Edgerton pressed against the cage, preventing Edgerton from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Edgerton blocking some punches.
Edgerton lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Rojas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rojas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Edgerton gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Edgerton wants to get back to striking at distance but Rojas won't allow it.
Edgerton lands a body punch. Edgerton is looking to break free of the clinch but Rojas has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher Edgerton dominated that round. The cut man is working on Wyatt Rojas's cut. That's time! Rojas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Edgerton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rojas napping and manages to drive through into side control! Edgerton controls the position from side control. Rojas is looking for a sweep. Edgerton passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rojas! Edgerton controlling his opponent. Rojas has given up his back here. Will Edgerton look for the submission or keep pounding away?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edgerton biding his time, controlling Rojas. Edgerton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Rojas tries to break free.
Good control from Edgerton. Let's hope that Edgerton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. More stalling from Edgerton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edgerton is continuing to stall. Rojas is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgerton controls the action. Edgerton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rojas tries to escape but Edgerton has the hooks in and won't let him break free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The adventures of Edgerton the control monster continue. Boring. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rojas tries to escape the position.

Christopher Edgerton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Wyatt Rojas's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's better than Edgerton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee asks Edgerton politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Edgerton prefers to stall for the moment though. Edgerton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edgerton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rojas keeps working. Edgerton tries to advance to mount but can't. Edgerton stands up. Edgerton scores with a takedown into Rojas's guard. Edgerton wants to stand but Rojas is controlling his posture from full guard. Christopher Edgerton has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgerton gets to his feet - Rojas follows without any prompting. Edgerton throws a half hearted mid kick. Edgerton shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rojas regains full guard. Nicely done. Edgerton wanted to stand there but Rojas had control of the position. Edgerton wants to pass the guard but Rojas is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edgerton content to stall in guard here. Rojas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Edgerton engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Edgerton won't allow Rojas to sweep him here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wyatt Rojas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Christopher Edgerton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A left and a right from Edgerton both land. Nice combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Christopher Edgerton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Edgerton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
