Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manfred Honeypott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer comes to the cage accompanied by GSP - Not Impressed. Manfred Honeypott will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Santiago Palmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manfred Honeypott! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honeypott throws the left hand but Palmer avoids the punch easily. Honeypott fails to land with a series of punches.
Palmer with a nice cross. Palmer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Honeypott. Palmer with a lazy takedown attempt letting Honeypott counter with a right hand. Palmer gets a takedown into half guard. Honeypott avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Palmer. Palmer works his foot free and advances to mount. Palmer unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer thowing shots but they're missing. Palmer content just to control the position here. Honeypott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Palmer throws some wild stikes that Honeypott manages to avoid easily.
Palmer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Palmer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Honeypott can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Palmer lands a nice shot to the head. Palmer throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmer lands with some strikes. Palmer lands a big shot there that rocks Honeypott but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Palmer lands a couple of good shots and Honeypott has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Palmer scores with punches to the body. What can Honeypott do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Palmer missing with strikes from the back. Palmer throwing wild punches that miss their target. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palmer controlling the position well here. Honeypott rolled but Palmer kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Palmer has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Honeypott.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is taking a good look at Honeypott as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Palmer!

Palmer lands a shot to the body. Palmer misses with punches from the back. We've been informed that Honeypott has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. What can Honeypott do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Honeypott covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Santiago Palmer dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Palmer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Honeypott misses with a body shot.
Honeypott throws a lazy uppercut
and Palmer counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Palmer working the head and body with strikes. Palmer is looking to advance position but Honeypott won't allow it. Palmer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Palmer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmer not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Palmer. Honeypott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Palmer is landing with some decent strikes but Honeypott is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Palmer controlling from the full mount. Palmer breaks from Honeypott's wrist control and lands an elbow. Palmer unloading with bombs! Oooooh, big shot lands for Palmer! Honeypott is hurt baaadly! Palmer is firing away with more strikes - Honeypott is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Santiago Palmer! Post fight, Santiago Palmer stared into the camera and said 'Yeah I am gonna face the champ. Hey champ! Santiago Palmer is gonna smother you with a big blanket on your weak body! You better spar with a blanket or you will be done!'.
