Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mac Alvarado has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mac Alvarado seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alvarado is trying to defend but Evans finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Alvarado keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Alvarado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Evans eats them both and turns towards Alvarado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alvarado changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Alvarado pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Evans back to the cage. Alvarado follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Alvarado wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Alvarado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alvarado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Alvarado has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
