Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murray Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dewey Foley! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with a looping right. A looping hook to the body misses from Foley. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice shot by Jackson. Jackson lands with a cross. Jackson slips a jab and a cross from Foley.
Foley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Foley lands a glancing blow to the side of Jackson's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foley throws an off balance right hand
enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab. Foley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away. Foley blocks a jab. Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Foley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Foley throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it. Foley jabs Jackson right on the nose. Jackson blinks but takes it well. Foley misses with a left hand and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Foley fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Foley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Foley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Jackson. Jackson throws a lazy right hand but Foley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It seemed like Foley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jackson lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Foley. Jackson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Foley has time to react. Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Foley works the jab nicely. Foley throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Dewey Foley has been cut. Jackson drops his hands momentarily and Foley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws a body punch but Foley moves out of range. Foley appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Jackson scores with a nice head shot. Jackson punishes Foley's body with a nice straight punch. Foley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson. Foley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Foley tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Foley throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it. Jackson misses with a hook. Foley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A left lands for Jackson. Jackson connects with a right hand. Foley shakes it off. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Foley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Foley misses with a hook
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jackson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jackson there as he acknowledges the shot. Foley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Foley looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Murray Jackson will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fighters circle momentarily. Foley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A shot to the body from Jackson misses and Foley counters with a one-two to the body. Foley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.

Foley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A little feinted left hand from Jackson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Danga de danga de dang - Foley scores with a four punch combination!

Foley throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jackson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Foley is just out of range. Jackson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Foley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Foley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jackson throws a jab when Foley was well out of range. Jackson moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson misses with an uppercut. Jackson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Foley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Foley throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Jackson counter with a right hand.

letting Jackson counter with a right hand. Foley is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him? Foley bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jackson's head. Foley lands a head shot.
Murray Jackson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Jackson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jackson misses with a wild body shot. Foley seems to have recovered his senses. Foley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Foley falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jackson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
