Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mattews drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Mattews seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Cole is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mattews off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mattews wants to escape the position.
Cole tries to get the hooks in deep but Mattews pushed the leg off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mattews regains half guard.
Mattews is looking to improve his position.
Mattews might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cole seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Cole is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mattews looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cole cracks Mattews with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mattews looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cole finish him?

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mattews shoots in but no luck this time.
It seemed like Cole was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Mattews closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cole has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cole lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mattews backwards.
Mattews has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cole regains guard immediately.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole wants to sweep but no luck.
Mattews postures up in Cole's guard and throws a big left but Cole blocks it.
Cole utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cole is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cole is just content to waste time from the top position. Mattews takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Mattews wants to sweep but no luck.

Mattews throws an elbow that misses. Cole uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mattews's guard. Nice move by Cole!

Cole passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mattews can't do much from the bottom here.
Cole swings around for an armbar but Mattews sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cole's guard.
Mattews is working Cole over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Mattews keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cole's head.
Matt Mattews overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mattews is looking to work some ground and pound but Cole has wrist control.
Mattews scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cole is rocked!
It looks like Winston Cole has been cut.
Mattews is pushing down on Cole's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cole is fighting to maintain full guard but Mattews has managed to sneak the leg through.
Cole is still in real trouble! Can Mattews finish him?
Mattews lands a big elbow - Cole is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Mattews!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Mattews!
Matt Mattews got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
