Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Galen Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Pianista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alfredo Pianista has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Galen Clay's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Galen Clay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alfredo Pianista! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pianista swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pianista takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pianista tries a head kick but it misses.
Pianista throws a head kick that misses. Clay tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pianista defends well and Clay ends up having to push Pianista into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Pianista cracks Clay with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pianista has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Clay to stand back up!
It looks like Galen Clay has been cut. Clay blocks the body kick.
Pianista shoots in and drives through. Clay sprawls well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pianista fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pianista tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clay manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Clay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Clay tried to counter with a leg kick but Pianista avoided it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pianista is looking to clinch. Clay thinks about countering with a head kick. Pianista misses the shot to the body. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Pianista has eaten all the pies! Clay fails with an attempt to clinch.
As Clay backs off Pianista throws a huge counter combo but Clay manages to avoid it all. Pianista misses with a body kick. Pianista drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Pianista postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clay is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pianista, into his guard.
Clay will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pianista looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pianista is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Clay won't allow Pianista to get back to his feet. Pianista seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pianista trying to control the position.
Pianista is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pianista trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pianista pushes a forearm under Clay's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Clay is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
