The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guatierez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Guatierez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Taglerino sees it coming and defends easily.
Taglerino wants to control but Guatierez is keeping busy.

Guatierez wants to take a breather but Taglerino is having none of it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Still in half guard, Guatierez seems content to control.
Guatierez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Guatierez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taglerino is trying to defend but Guatierez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Guatierez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
