PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Soa Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Bucketheads - The Bomb [These Sounds Fall Into My Mind] . Mike Dean has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Soa Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Dean!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balboa drives through and clinches with Dean against the cage.
Balboa tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dean can't get the takedown.
Balboa prevents Dean from breaking the clinch.
Balboa lands with a light punch inside.
Dean has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Balboa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Dean changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Balboa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Soa Balboa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Dean.

Balboa seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dean displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Balboa throws out the jab.
That kick from Balboa tenderised Dean's leg. Dean is trying to keep his angry face on.

Balboa is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Rage XXX Elite, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
