Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dirty Pure!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pure manages to avoid it.
Pure misses with a straight right.
Pure lands with a cross.
Cosby throws a shot from downtown. Pure moves away and avoids it.

Cosby darts in and clinches Pure up against the cage.

Cosby breaks the clinch.
Cosby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pure misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cosby.
Cosby feinted with a counter takedown.
Pure misses the jab.
Pure fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cosby on the side of the head.
Pure looks to score with a jab to the body but Cosby is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cosby shoots in for a takedown but Pure shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pure swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cosby takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pure lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cosby at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pure slaps away a takedown attempt from Cosby, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Pure throws a series of punches but Cosby moves out of range.
Cosby ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pure moves away.

Cosby moves out of range of the strikes.
Pure digs a good body shot into Cosby's ribs.
Pure scores with a decent looking hook.

Cosby shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pure connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Cosby prevents Pure from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pure wants to sweep but no luck.
Pure avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pure can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cosby is pushing down on Pure's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pure is fighting to maintain full guard but Cosby has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pure wants to control but Cosby is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pure preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Pure felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Pure really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cosby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pure is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Cosby has latched onto it... Big trouble! Cosby pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Pure is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Cosby!
